    Does this mean that one should delete the code involving the semantic
    parser feature altogether? -- If nobody seems to know how to use it, and
    it's not needed for backwards compatibility, that seems to be the best
    thing.

I always felt it was better not to delete it, in case someone knew
how to use it.  But I don't have strong feelings about this.
