Fixed by Jim Meyering in Gnulib commit 7fa203018d02d8f2b71a6be1240c3963a63cab1c (2020-12-29).
In the meantime you can ignore the warning: it's the typical clang balderdash where they want you to put in an unnecessary cast. Don't they know that casts are bad in C?
