Thanks to both of you.

I'm inclined to apply this after the stable release.
I wish it'd shown up a couple weeks ago.
If I were to change it now, it'd invalidate the corresponding
translations.  Of course, if a few translators say they'd
prefer a change now, and want to update their translations
using the strings from cvs, I'll go ahead and make the change now.
