Based on the email address you sent to, you are probably using an
outdated version of the sort utility. The latest stable version is
part of coreutils 5.94,

I'm not quite sure what you are looking for. If it is documentation
about the sort utility, you can try 'sort --help' for an overview,
or 'info sort' for full-blown details about how to sort files based on
various properties, including numeric sorts. But we would need
more specific information as to your problem to provide more
specific help.

You have just mailed a publicly archived mailing list, so this legal disclaimer
