Fontifying message should be swept away when done

indeed it seems finding any file that does the fontifying thing leaves
the message in the minbuffer, not just the supercite example i wrote below:

hi. i use supercite. if I do a
r [not R] on a, say, mail message, i see e.g.,
"Fontifying *reply to ShengHuo ZHU*... (regexps...........)"
still sitting in the message area making me think some work is still in
progress.  It should be erased once the job is finished.
