Note: I've just noticed an editing issue, so that the font name I gave
in the bug report was wrong (I suspect that when I fixed the Emacs
word wrapping of the copy-pasted command, I inadvertently removed the
initial dash of the font name). It should be:

  emacs -Q -fn -misc-fixed-medium-r-semicondensed--13-120-75-75-c-60-iso10646-1

Sorry about that.

I've also tried the master branch, and it is also buggy.
