The name 'integer-length' comes from ANSI Common Lisp [1]. The suffixes exist
because in C we need 3 different functions for 'unsigned int', 'unsigned long',
and 'unsigned long long' arguments.

ANSI Common Lisp predates FreeBSD 5.3 by 15 years :-)
