Avoid ESC[48m in grotty output

[kpa]

grotty creates escape sequences like ESC[48m when switching to default
color. That code is not specified by the ISO 6429. While most terminals
just ignore that sequence some programs like kde's konsole interprets that
sequence very special (konsole switches to a red background).
