Hi there,
I ran the "make installcheck" tests merely as a matter of excessive
thoroughness, and was therefore quite surprised to get a few failures.
All three were to do with unreadable directories; either lacking read
permissions, or simply absent by the time of access.
I'm guessing that the tests for these cases are supposed to also be
carried out internally to Tar, and then properly dealt with; and the
test suite catches them because that is not happening? I lack the
knowledge to help debug that.
Please find attached the "tests/testsuite.log" file, as requested by
the failure-report text.
