Hello,
are there any "problems" for `stat` to read crtime from ext4 ?
As i didn't found it mentioned anywhere on the bug tracker, "enhancement
requests" and mailing list archives, i started to wonder...
cheers
.andre
ps. (the needless blah;)
I faintly remember reading years ago that ext2/3 doesn't have a file
creation timestamp, (probably when i did the switch from fat/ntfs
system), so i didn't invest more thoughts on it. Till today, a friend of
mine asked if my system had file creation timestamps (he uses hfs+).
First i said no, but after reading some wikipedia i was happily suprised
that ext4 indeed does have a file creation timestamp.
The only tool i found for reading this info was `debugfs`, but that
doesn't seem/feel very userfriendly...
If i'm missing some obvious info, i would be very pleased to read them.
As im "just" an user and a curious hobby "hacker" :)
