Thanks yet again.
This one is ok, though I suppose the test should simply skip
when $CC is not gcc.
It should be easy to fix one or two of the following if we
can convince a shell to give us verbose output.
Can you rerun this test with VERBOSE=yes and with a shell like bash
in your path? Then VERBOSE=yes should make init.sh give us the details
required to work around the problem.
