It's probably best to look at examples.

You can add gnulib modules private to coreutils like:
http://git.savannah.gnu.org/gitweb/?p=coreutils.git;a=commit;h=63b5e816

Or you can add to gnulib proper.
I note some *rbtree* files already in gnulib BTW.
