Hi, See below for the output. I have Mac OS X 10.9.5.
/tmp$ touch a; touch b
/tmp$ [ a -nt b]
bash: [: missing `]'
/tmp$ [ a -nt b ]; echo $?
1
/tmp$ [ b -nt a ]; echo $?
1
/tmp$ stat a
