Hi, I would like to have the Option "-e", which does nothing. Maybe it will be used later, but up to now I mistype every then and now (for "r", "s" or "d") and get an error instead of a slightly other result.
For which command? However, we're reluctant to introduce silent no-op options, because if it is later assigned a meaning, it becomes harder to probe whether a given version of the utility has a working version of the option or is too old.
