Just at first glance your numbers are simply bogus, making the rest of the conversation immaterial. (The speeds are tremendously higher than realistically achievable, especially on MMC--which maxes out well under 1GByte/s.) I suspect that your benchmark program is mostly testing how fast it can write to RAM.
