People work well when they work happily. People work happily on what
they feel important.
I hope these people recognize that what is important
is to add real capabilities to Emacs, not propose incompatiblen changes.
What would you think about a dedicated project to
improve emacs defaults ? Do you think it would be more productive ?
Would you like it to be more productive ?
I think that such a project, to be constructive, would require people
with exceedingly good judgment. Otherwise it would be
counterproductive.
I would rather just rule out further incompatible changes in the basic
Emacs editing commands until after Emacs 23 comes out.
