There is no need. There is a cron task that periodically repacks all
of the repositories once a month. It is a rather heavy task to do for
all of the repositories and therefore it runs at a low priority
periodically but not every day. Here is the emacs related output from
the last run.
./emacs-epackage.git...
./emacs-epackage.git 740 KiB->740 (saved 0% in 1s)
./emacs-i18n.git...
./emacs-i18n.git 116 KiB->116 (saved 0% in 0s)
./emacs-tiny-tools.git...
./emacs-tiny-tools.git 7096 KiB->7096 (saved 0% in 1s)
./emacs.git...
./emacs.git 1218808 KiB->1074624 (saved 11.82% in 233s)
./emacs/elpa.git...
./emacs/elpa.git 28248 KiB->26772 (saved 5.22% in 5s)
