Hi,
the recent addition of Chrome support to browse-url.el
(05a630484fd652f67ce06679fb3f890f5fdd65ea) caused a behavior change: since the
test for "chrome" precedes that for "firefox", clicking on an URL now opens it
with the former (actually, with "chromium" in my case, because it is one of
the attempted fallbacks in browse-url-chrome-program).
Of course I know that I can customize the choice, but I wonder if this
particular case should be rectified, given that "the official" Chrome isn't
exactly free software.
So I ask:
a) should the test for browse-url-chrome in browse-url-default-browser be
moved after the one for more free browsers?
or alternatively
b) given that there is already a condition that tests for "chromium" that is
performed after the one for firefox, could the "chromium" alternative be
removed from browse-url-chrome-program?
Thank you,
ciao, lele.
