mouse-2 pastes text from selection and a context menu would not change
that. mouse-3, as far as I can tell[1], extends the selection to the
point of the click. In most applications, this is done by Shift+left
click.

[1]: I have read the docstring for mouse-save-then-kill and it turns
out you can kill with a double-right-click. Maybe it’s convenient when
you internalize it. In a conventional UI, that would be
Shift+left-click to select, then right-click for context menu, then
Cut.
