Only up to a point...

The pop-up frame is fixed size.  When the maple framei s not
popped up the minibuffer remains at the bottom of the frame.

My druthers on a large screen would be to have:

* The minibuffer always at the top of the frame
* Window mode lines at the top of their windows
* On growing the minibuffer, no attempt to keep point or windows visible
  (i.e. a variable-height drop-down shade)
