What do other applications do when you click outside a dialog?Nothing. The click is simply not passed to the application by most toolkits. Ok. Can we make Emacs do this in all the configurations? Which ones currently don't do so?
This is what Emacs CVS does. In 21.3 and earlier, Lucid did not do this.
We should probably try to get ESC to close the dialog into the Lucid toolkit. That is consistent with Motif/Lesstif, MS Windows, MacOS andGTK. Ok, can someone do it?
I'll add it. Jan D.
