If I understand correctly this will use fill-paragraph instead of
cperl-fill-paragraph and yes this seems to work (I say seem cause Perl is
such a "special" language and I only checked a few fairly simple examples).
But auto-fill is still not working. You need to change the call of
cperl-fill-paragraph in cperl-do-auto-fill to "(fill-paragraph t)", then this
seems to work too. Maybe one could also just use do-auto-fill instead of
cperl-do-auto-fill, but I haven't tried this yet. Maybe the best thing would
be to ask Ilya if cperl in CVS emacs can work now with the improved standard
fill functions instead of the cperl versions.
I'll keep playing with this version a bit more.
