C-x C-b shows that loaddefs.el is not one of the buffers (this is normal).
C-h v grep-command
C-x C-b shows that loaddefs.el is now one of the buffers. It should not be.
find-function-search-for-symbol does this. I am not sure
I would call it a bug. Lots of things in Emacs create buffers
which you may or may not ever look at on your own.
