There are plenty of known problems with the Elisp and Emacs manuals
that still need to be fixed and that are more serious than the fact
that those two variables are not yet documented. Why is remembering
those two problems both so unusually difficult and so unusually
important that it is worth disabling building the Elisp manual until
they are fixed?
This question makes no sense. A few undefined cross references should
not "disable building the manual". If that happens, it's a bug.
Let's fix the bug.
The comparison you're making is not a meaningful or relevant one.
When I do something to record that we need to fix problem A, it is
entirely irrelevant to compare problem A's importance with problem B
or problem C.
If they are so important, why do we not fix them right now?
If I knew how to do this, I would have done it. I don't know how to
document those variables and the features they pertain to. Therefore,
the best thing I could do was make sure they would not be forgotten.
I did so.
Kim is now working on documenting line-spacing.
If you've checked that your documentation of vertical-scroll-bar
is accurate, then please install that, and thanks.
