That is not a good thing.  I have not been reading this thread,
since w3 as a technical issue is outside my interests, but this
is now seems to be something I had better deal with.

To begin to deal with it, I need to know where the "up-to-date"
version of w3 is distributed from, who maintains it, and those
people's email addresses.  Can you tell me?
