One reason for this is that I am sometimes not releasing the mouse
button fast enough.
Perhaps we should increase the default time threshold.
The second reason is the delay until the action associated with the
click is actually performed and that one has to keep the mouse pointer
over the link in order for the action to happen. Besides the delay
being annoying, I often move the cursor off the link area before the
action is carried out.
This sounds like a bug, and we could fix it. I understand why it is
necessary to check for another down event, to see if this is really
a double click. But if it isn't a double click, why should it matter
if the mouse moves during that time?
Could someone look at fixing this?
