That is very likely to occur because the current unexec implementation
for Darwin is sensitive to the change of the internal memory
management of the system. So binary compatibility between different
versions of OS may not be preserved.
I can't test it between Panther and Tiger, but Nozomu Ando's patch
might be of help.
