Setting multiple face attributes on all frames shows some strange
behavior for existing frames.
Case 1:
emacs -Q -D
C-x 5 2
(set-face-attribute 'default nil :family "times" :height 140)
C-x 5 2
Case 2:
emacs -Q -D
C-x 5 2
(set-face-attribute 'default nil :height 140 :family "times")
C-x 5 2
Case 3:
emacs -Q -D
C-x 5 2
(set-face-attribute 'default (selected-frame) :family "times" :height 140)
For Case 1, only family is changed on existing frames, but both family
and height are changed on a newly created frame. For Case 2, only
height is changed on existing frames, but both family and height are
changed on a newly created frame. Case 3 works as expected.
