The problem will be reproduced as follows.
% cat foo.el
(require 'autoload)
(define-minor-mode foo-mode "foo")
% emacs -batch -q -no-site-file -l ./foo.el
Wrong type argument: symbolp, 0
Emacs exits normally when autoload.el is not loaded.
