Thats odd. Does macro expansion really work? Have you compiled all the
files with -g3?

In the case where tooltips failed before what happens if you type:

  info source

in the GUD buffer?

  (gdb) info source
  Current source file is myprog.c
  Compilation directory is /home/nickrob
  Located in /home/nickrob/myprog.c
  Contains 105 lines.
  Source language is c.
Compiled with DWARF 2 debugging format.
  Includes preprocessor macro info.

Do you get the last line?

Hmm, does Solaris use stabs rather than DWARF 2?
