emacs -q
C-h v facemenu-color-alist shows this:

 facemenu-color-alist is a variable defined in `facemenu.el'.
 Its value is nil

Alist of colors, used for completion.
If null, `facemenu-read-color' will set it.

I don't see this, either in the code or in practice. It never seems to
get set, beyond nil.

M-: (facemenu-read-color), then enter "green", then C-h v
facemenu-color-alist still shows it to be nil.

In GNU Emacs (i386-mingw-nt5.1.2600)
 of 2006-03-20 on W2ONE
X server distributor `Microsoft Corp.', version 5.1.2600
configured using `configure --with-gcc (3.4) --cflags -Id:/g/include'
