Follow the example I gave.

It's a shell command, called "script", and takes one argument which is
the file to put the output in.  It will start a subshell, where you can
give your command, and afterwards type "exit" to the subshell to finish
the typescript session.

I don't know whether it's installed on osx (I gather that's what you're
using), but it's a "traditional" bsd-unix command, so the odds are
decent that it is.
