There are two recent reports about the same symptoms:

Both problems went away with the latest version of jit-lock.el

However, jit-lock.el was fixed by the time of your build.  Are you
sure you are running the latest version of that file?  If you are, the
information in those threads might nevertheless help finding the bug.
