Launching GNU Emacs 23.0.0 with -Q and choosing from the menu Options
-> MULE -> Show All of MULE Staus or directly invoking mule-diag
leads to *Backtrace* buffer with:

        Debugger entered--Lisp error: (error "Invalid code(s)")
          make-char(japanese-jisx0213-a)
          list-character-sets-2()
          mule-diag()
          call-interactively(mule-diag)

I've just installed a fix. As the concept of "charset
width" is vague in emacs-unicode-2, I simply disabled
printing that information.

Sorry it took so long: spring time for winter in the northern hemisphere distracted me a bit!

It works!
