Toolbar with GTK

If I do:

M-x gdb
Run gdb (like this): ~/src6/gdb/gdb --annotate=3 myprog

then in the GUD buffer:

(gdb) b main
(gdb) run

and then repeatedly click on the gud-next icon in the toolbar ("Next Line"),
after two or three clicks it stops doing anything. At this point the button no
longer shows relief. The only way that I can get it to work again is by moving
the cursor away from the icon and back again. The same thing happens for other
execution icons (gud-step, gud nexti and gud-stepi). It doesn't happen with
"gdb --fullname".

I sometimes see something similar with i686-pc-linux-gnu, X toolkit, Xaw3d
scroll bars where I can get something like "<tool-bar> <next> is undefined"
after a few clicks, but then I can get it working again without moving the
cursor away from the icon.

In GNU Emacs 22.0.95.1 (i686-pc-linux-gnu, GTK+ Version 2.8.15)
 of 2007-03-08 on kahikatea.snap.net.nz
X server distributor `The X.Org Foundation', version 11.0.70000000
configured using `configure '--with-gtk' '--with-xft''
