A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Chris Hilts <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: CamelMail
System name: camelmail
Type: non-GNU
Description:
The project will involve the porting of SquirrelMail (a PHP webmail client) to
use Perl. Once basic functionality is ported, it will become a true fork of
SquirrelMail. (I am a developer on the SquirrelMail project as well).
SquirrelMail can be seen at http://www.squirrelmail.org
There is no existing code for this port/fork yet.
Requirements: Apache and Perl, IMAP and SMTP servers (may be remote, or
provided by an ISP)
License: GPL.
The webmail interface will be clean HTML, with no dependency on Javascript or
other browser-specific tricks.
Security is a priority, and a plugin system will be adopted in later versions.
Other Software Required:
Apache or other webserver which is capable of executing perl scripts.
