A package was submitted to savannah.nongnu.org
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
art yerkes <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: x11
Other License:
Package: js2mouse
System name: js2mouse
Type: non-GNU
Description:
A simple mouse emulator that uses SDL Joystick, and provides a
service pipe in /tmp, allowing the user to operate XFree86 with
a gamepad. The program emulates a mouse with protocol 'ImPS/2'.
The program allows multiple configurations to coexist, cycled
by some designated button, including mouse x and y, mouse wheel
y, and three buttons. For those who game with the gamepad as
well, the mouse mode can be disabled with a configurable button.
In this mode, mouse events are not sent. Pressing the button
again enables mouse mode.
As a convenience, one axis may be used to invoke a script (by
default, "aumix -v %d" with the axis value scaled into 0-100).
This allows the user to change the audio volume, or adjust some
other system parameter with a gamepad axis.
This program has been used so-far on GNU/Linux systems with a
USB gamepad.
Other Software Required:
SDL (www.libsdl.org)
Other Comments:
Rudy Gevaert reviewed this submission before, and suggested that
Linux -> GNU/Linux.
