This looks rather strange.  Hm.

What's the *debug tramp/foo* buffer at this point?  (Do (setq
tramp-debug-buffer t) if you don't have this buffer.)

Why is this 2.0.22?  Is this the most recent XEmacs pkg?  I thought I
updated the pkg just recently?
