You are right. In Tramp 2.1, "/usr/xpg4/bin" is part of
`tramp-remote-path', and there is a check of POSIX conformity of
"id". I will backport this solution to Tramp 2.0.

As workaround, inserting "/usr/xpg4/bin" at the top of
`tramp-remote-path' might be sufficient.
