Well, I'm not sure that this is the cause of your problem. It is a side
effect of a problem in tramp-process-sentinel, which shouldn't happen.

I've fixed this, and pushed to the repos.

Apply the patch, and rerun the test. If you set tramp-verbose to 10 in
advance, there shall be a backtrace in the Tramp debug buffer, telling
us at which point the quit signal has been throwed.

(Or it runs w/o problems, and I'll be astonished :-)
