[aspell] Aspell/Solaris abort/coredump

During compilation, aspell tries to build a dictionary for english, and 
aborts. Here's the detail:

configure was run as:

  env PATH=/opt/egcs/bin:$PATH ./configure --prefix=/opt/aspell
