Thanks for catching this, I'm not sure what I've done as I was testing
this :-(  Without the patch, it says:

  (error "Loaded libraries ("/path/to/auctex/auctex-autoloads.el")
         depend on /path/to/auctex/tex-site.elc")

Yes, that's true.  This is from Emacs Lisp manual[1]:

  Ordinarily, unload-feature refuses to unload a library on which other
  loaded libraries depend. (A library a depends on library b if a contains
  a require for b.) If the optional argument force is non-nil,
  dependencies are ignored and you can unload any library.

So the conclusion is apply the patch with the comment adjusted and if
someone wants to unload tex-site, s?he has to use the FORCE arg?
