How did you set the PATH environment variable?
Use the OS menual's instruction.
Is the path to the
gswin32c.exe executable included in the output of `M-x getenv RET PATH
RET'?
C:\texmf\miktex\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS\System32\Wbem;C:\Program
Files\Common Files\Adaptec
Shared\System;C:\MATLAB7\bin\win32;C:\Emacs\bin;"C:\gs\gs8.51\bin";"C:\gs\gs8.51\lib";c:\usr\local\bin;"C:\Program
Files\Ghostgum\gsview\";"c:\Program Files\Real\RealProducer Basic
10\RealMediaEditor"
BTW, I made "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adaptec Shared\System" quoted,
still same. or to unquote other still doesn't work.
What is the output of `M-: (executable-find "gswin32c") RET'?
nil
PS, when I installed AUCTeX 11.8* by myself, only the following method
succeeded.
$ ./configure --with-texmf-dir=c:/texmf GS="c:/gs/gs8.51/bin/gswin32c.exe"
