yes, i am indeed. ;-)
i've put up a screenshot to demonstrate:

as you can see, the folded 'nafs' is clearly bold, when compared to the
unfolded '\emph{nafs}'.
it turns out that color-theme is responsible for this, though... i disabled
it and restarted emacs, and then the effect disappeared.
i dunno if you feel inclined to figure out why color-theme does this, but
if you do, and find the reason, i'd be interested to hear it. ;-) i'll try
and do some digging myself if i have time (not tonight... :-/ )
