Hi, in trying this ---- \documentclass{article} \begin{document} test $\alpha + \beta$. %% preview should appear here. \end{document} % Local Variables: % TeX-engine: xetex % End: ---- and on generating previews the color for the preview is black which shows badly on a dark theme With the default TeX engine, the color of the preview obeys it seems the main face color as shown in attached screenshots Best, Jean-François
Strangely (to me) whether with TeX-engine set to xetex, luatex, or default, the same command is invoked (apart from name of tmp repertory) Running `Preview-Ghostscript' with ``/Library/TeX/texbin/rungs -sOutputFile\=aucxetex.prv/tmpAAVPBX/pr1-\%d.png -q -dDELAYSAFER -dNOPAUSE -DNOPLATFONTS -dPrinted -dTextAlphaBits\=4 -dGraphicsAlphaBits\=4 -sDEVICE\=png16m -r240.615x252.2 -dDELAYBIND'' My gs version is 9.54 $ gs --version 9.54.0 xetex/luatex display the problem I mentioned but not default (which has "compile directly to PDF") which I also get from M-! then gs --version Best, Jean-François
