Tim, Cam,

Two weeks ago I built Axiom on RedHat 8.0 from the tenkan CVS.
After changing the hard coded paths, I also compiled debugsys
and did not receive any errors regarding macros.lisp. I am
able to replace interpsys with debugsys and things work fine
(except a little more verbose and a lot slower). The increased
output of the compiler lets you see more clearly where the
stack overflow begins. I played a little bit more, adding some
of the missing depencencies in the makefile.pamphlet but since
I still don't know enough about how things work and very little
about debugging in lisp, I have given it up for now.

Tim, your recent message containing a few hints on how to use
debugsys will probably help a lot, so I may give it a fresh start
when I get back to my test setup tomorrow evening.
