Ah, Gaby, while I've got your attention....

It appears that installing OpenAxiom interferes with an already
installed Axiom. Alfredo looked into the problem and it appears 
to be a collision using the AXIOM shell variable.

Could you please rename the shell variable to use to be something
other that "AXIOM", say "OPENAXIOM"?
