[Axiom-developer] sockio-c patches

Greetings!  Just wondering if you had a chance to look at the patches I
submitted, and might consider committing them.  They appear solid under
the Debian autobuilders.

David Billinghurst is helping me support a broken XP, and once that's
in, I will release 2.6.11.  It would be great if this was the gcl
version you include in zips.  This said, the patches I submitted also
support building with an external gcl as designated by the GCL
environment variable.
