I don't know for sure what that means.  My best guess is that you think I 
was trying to confuse you.  In reality, I thought I was answering your 
(what appeared to be) very simple question, but I guess not.

I just made a post to help-bison that describes these directives.  Maybe 
that'll help.  In the future, if making a local checkout of CVS Bison is 
not possible for you, you can always browse it online at Savannah.  I just 
assumed you knew that.
