Ok, I won't include it in 2.4.2.

I just took a quick look.  It does look nice, but I don't see any mention 
of the source code, so I'm guessing the FSF would not approve.

Yep.  I'm thinking 2.7 or later seems like a good target.  Definitely not 
2.5.
